How Does Exilis Ultra 360™ Skin Tightening Work?
Exilis Ultra 360™ has been cleared by the FDA for skin tightening, so you know it is a safe procedure. When you come in for your treatment, you don’t need topical numbing cream thanks to the RF and ultrasound energy. Both of these energy methods can penetrate the epidermis without heat damage. The Exilis Ultra 360™ is delivered through a patented handpiece/applicator. It monitors and delivers the optimal level of controlled RF and ultrasound energy at all times. The energy converts to heat when it enters the dermis layer of the skin, and the system continually monitors and adjusts levels. As the energy enters the dermis, the patient feels a sensation of heat. This is how you know the treatment will be initiating the remodeling of the existing collagen in the treatment areas along with triggering new collagen and elastin production to “heal” the perceived wounds (although there are not any wounds or damage whatsoever). Patients equate the feeling of an Exilis Ultra 360™ treatment to that of a warm hot stone massage.
How Many Exilis Ultra 360™ Treatments Will I Need?
This depends on your goals. Most of our patients opt to have 6-8 treatments scheduled every 7-14 days. After that initial series, many patients return every few months for maintenance treatments.

Most of our patients see visible skin tightening and firming after the first treatment. These results continue to build as the body produces new collagen and elastin and delivers it to the treated skin. This process will continue for three months after your treatment.
